Review: Bellicose Consular Green (Take 2)

As some of you know/read I had some problems with the retention screw of my Bellicose. After trying all the great tips from the forum I was forced to send it back.

The US support was great in this! Not only the screw would be changed to a different one (the same one as my Guardian for stability and uniformity), but also some other minor details would be looked over. I ordered an extra Heavy Grade Ultra Edge blade and Black Blade Holder to go with it. Might become mighty handy.

The Bellicose is Consular Green with Obsidian Sound. And its on its way back already! Yeh... If all is going ok it will be here tomorrow afternoon. Below is the route it took... And it is in Rotterdam already. Note that the delivery is stated for tomorrow meaning that the Dutch Customs take longer with my saber then the whole shipping. :S

I am very happy with the way UPS handles the tracking. When I send the package to US I could only see when it left the Netherlands and when it arrived in the USA. And when US would receive.. and when it was picked up. UPS shows me every step of the way... which is incredibly cool to know day-by-day where my package is!

Unbelievable... The idiots at the UPS office in Germany forgot an important attachment to my package. And teh custom in Rotterdam send it back. It looks like the end delivery will still be today though. It also bounched back between Philadelphia, PA, United States and Louisville, KY, United States.

Argghh... the customs are staring over my saber and checking and re-checking it again. It made it impossible to deliver it today... and if I am unlucky they will charge me for it.

It will now be delivered after the weekend I called and changed the deliver address to my work. As I am not free next monday.

sheesh! I'm so glad i don't have to deal with crazy stuff like that. Sorry it's so hard to get your saber! I wonder what they think it is? like if they turned it on wouldn't it make sense?

Customs official: "What is this?! it looks like it could be dangerou--(turns it on)--OH! well, it's a lightsaber, that is cool. I will now write a personalized letter to the person receiving this and tell them how cool this is and ask where I can get one too!"

Even though I changed the adress to deliver with UPS last Friday.. they cannot change it in the actual delivery untill after the first time the delivery on the original adress fails. So changes don't go in effect immediatly...

Ergo... they tried delivering it today at my house adress even though I stated last Friday that I wouldn't be home.

Next delivery will be at my work adress... tomorrow

Ok... the saber arrived back... but even though I called UPS twice to deliver it to my work. They still delivered it to my house. Luckily someone was in till 02:00, and the deilivery was extreme early. So someone was at home by SHEER LUCK! No taxes needed to be paid at all... third time and no taxes on a saber. So I can assume now that there are no taxes to the Netherlands on Toys/Electronics/Returns.

On US... very nice job on the repairs. The retention screw was solid stuck in the hilt and had to be drilled out. That is done in a perfect way replacing it with the same screw I also had on my Guardian. Only one thing though. I originally had my oprder with a Ultra Edge blade... and US replaced it with a Mid Grade blade. I found a slight damaging on the blade holder, but I am ok with that.



I got batteries with it. Even if I didn't send batteries back. So that is cool. Also now got an extra wrench in this size. The blade holder needs a smaller size wrench I already had for my Dark War Glaive. The blades came with two stoppers... something I didn't have yet (or saw). The stoppers fit over the bottom of the blade and will prevent dirt coming in. That is very handy.



The button was replaced too.. It had some scratches and now is gold.



The extra blade is an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade. The blade holder makes it incredibly easy to replace it. I might in time order yet another for my now 32"Ultra Edge Mid Grade blade.

Overall very happy to have it back... and the repairs where fast and nicely done.

Nice. Glad to see you got your saber back. I'm also going for a Bellicose hopefully next week. Getting everything on it. Guardian Blue Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade w/ pointed tip, chrome button, Obsidian with red av button, giving the saber that prequels era look to it, black blade holder, short groove pommel, orange flash, I think orange looks the most realistic if you want it like that, and li-ions. Full demo video will be posted and with my custom Jedi font. I will be using Stygian General power on, off, and hum, then Old Republic Jedi motion, impact, and lock up. Thought that would be the perfect prequel era style font for me. I know Stygian General is more Sith but I think it can be Jedi also. Point by the way for showing the differences between the blade wall thickness. I also like your silver flash.
