So, I was one of the folks that got hit by the tornado(s) in Texas that some national news networks have reported about. When the power was out for the night my wife and I illuminated our whole house to get around with two of the three sabers we owned. (Only one has sound so we were saving that for last since we figured that that one would drain batteries faster.) These blades were brighter then both our flashlight and the camping lights we keep for emergencies.
Thanks US for making such an outstanding product that helped us out Monday night.
(Yes, my wife and I are fine. I was only injured while helping folks after the tornado hit, and my wife is fine. Our house is in good shape, though we won't be practicing fencing anytime soon until we get the yard taken care of.)

Glad to hear you're both ok. I did the same thing myself when a tornado rolled through my town several years ago with my MR sabers. I really wish I had some US sabers at the time for the amount of light they put out.

I've also used my sabers for light, though like Kaiden said, not after an emergency. They really do make good flashlights, even with the blades in.
