Why the mystery? Just read from your saber addicts post that it is the totally unsingable Huey Lewis & the News "I Want a New Drug". Guess that was their 80's version of rap and attempt to be cool. I loved that band in their heyday. That song was an anthem just like Alice Cooper's "Schools Out".  My post in SAA was what gave me the inspiration to go further. I loved these guys. Their style could not be contained by a decade classification. They were just good. As far as "unsingable", I don't agree. If I'm not mistaken, the melody is being sung like a bass line. Simple notes in monotone until the end of the line where it goes down one line, then up on the next. I think that's one of the reasons this song stands out as unique. Definitely not rap though. Mineral oil (the only oil you should use for this endeavor, will only lend itself to nominal OCing. The reason why is because you have the heat absorbing material (the oil) surrounding all the components, with very little avenue for circulation and escape. Without a pump and radiator correctly sized for the amount of fluid you've got in there, the heat will just keep building, especially if you do any resource intensive tasks. Honestly, with the amount of money you'd spend on setting up a mineral oil-cooled machine from start to finish, you'd spend less time and get better performance out of a custom WC loop. |
