Apparently, David Harbour (the sheriff from Stranger Things) is in talks to play Cable in Deadpool 2. I am still hoping they just realise that SLANG (Stephen Lang) not only looks like Cable, but actually IS Cable in real life.

Also, New Line Cinema (that house that Freddy built, as they brought us A Nightmare on Elm Street) are to make a horror movie based in the universe of The Wizard of Oz. I cannot WAIT to hear more about this project.

Are there any upcoming movies you guys think are essential viewing, that I should probably spend my money and go see?

Essential in red. If you have time/money is underlined. I didn't go past June, as that would be a little extreme and I don't want to overwhelm you with stuff.

Mar 3 - Logan
Mar 10 - Kong: Skull Island
Mar 17 - Beauty and the Beast

Mar 24 - Power Rangers
Mar 31 - Ghost in the Shell

Apr 14 - The Fate of the Furious
Apr 28 - The Circle

May 5 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
May 19 - Alien: Covenant
May 26 - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
May 26 - Baywatch

Jun 2 - Wonder Woman
Jun 9 - The Mummy
Jun 23 - Transformers: The Last Knight
Jun 30 - Despicable Me 3

Yep. Because he's more variety in his life (and more fibre in his diet).

TJ already has variety, hence my suggestions. One size does not fit all when it comes to movie suggestions.

Now there's a "What If?".  Can't wait to see Logan . . .

I'm actually pretty much in lockstep with Knox's list of Essentials in Red.

Though - I will also confess to having a bizarre curiousty about the Tom Cruise Mummy movie . . . logic (and the key involvement of Alex Kurtman) tell me to run like hell away from it, but for some reason I think it will be a surprise treat.  Also, Sofia Boutella rocks, so . . .

Winning? Is that what you think it's about? I'm not trying to win. I'm not doing this because I want to beat someone, or because I hate someone, or because I want to blame someone. It's not because it's fun. God knows it's not because it's easy. It's not even because it works, because it hardly ever does. I do what I do because it's right! Because it's decent! And above all, it's kind! It's just that. Just kind.

As someone who had to be bullied out of wanting to be Wonder Woman when we played super heroes I'm DEFINITELY seeing it.

As someone who grew up watching the original Universal monster movies and Hammer horror, I am very curious about Cruise's Mummy as the first entry in a shared monsters cinematic universe. The trailer was intriguing, albeit slightly confusing. And if the casting for the other upcoming movies is anything to go by (Russel Crowe as Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde, Johnny Depp as The Invisible Man, ScarJo possibly being in The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Angeline Jolie in The Bride of Frankenstein) then Universal are swinging for the fences with these new movies. I just hope they don't fall into the old trap of focussing so much on a shared universe that they forget to tell a good story in the actual standalone movies.
