Dark Prophecy with Tri Cree Arctic Blue

I definitely used to prefer pairing the switch color with the blade color on sabers, but more and more I'm stepping outside of that restriction.  Like they said, this combo (red switch with blue blade) is a great example of an unusual but very effective pairing.

Well, I don't know if you'll be able to get the same LED, but Ultrasabers does have an Emerald Green color (one of the forum colors like DVA and Pyrestone).  Might be something to look into!

Thank you, master Nero. My initial thought when I chose this combination was what would a lightsaber of a Gray Jedi look like?  I thought having a blade color that is traditionally a Jedi color paired with an AV switch in a Sith color on a dark version of the silver version hilt that was inspired by Anakin's saber in Ep. 2 would be a unique Yin & Yang effect.  I'm really happy how this turned out, and the TRI-AB LED is stunning to look at.   Love it.

Luxeon V Cyan (Bin 3).  Not in production anymore, unfortunately, but you can still sometimes find them floating around.

Definitely works for the saber.  I was really happy I went with the Dark version as well, I do really enjoy "light side" blade colors with darker hilts.

Good choices!  The Tri-Cree Consular Green should be nice, CG is a great color (very bright).  Anyway, I won't derail Bladewraith's thread any further!  Let's bring the discussion back to HIS Dark Prophecy haha

  It's all good, Master Nero.  I enjoy hearing about the options others have gone with, too.  I'm getting my TRI-Consular Green in my Consular in a few days.  I had them add Quick Disconnects so I could swap between the Guardian Blue and Tri-CG now, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the brightness level, given how great the Tri-AB looked on my Prophecy.

Separate question for ya... do you think it'd be possible for them to do a Tri-Dark Violet Amethyst?  I was playing around with the Emerald Driver last night on my Electrum Wind and was feeling like I couldn't get enough "saturation" and "brightness" on the purple because of the color combination you have to make with blue and red.  I was thinking they should be able to do a TRI-DVA with perhaps 2 Blue LEDs and 1 Red LED.  I think that would be phenomenal.

So how does the new Tri-Arctic Blue look in person compared to the regular Arctic Blue? Thinking of getting me one. I'll be able to try and compare them too. I know its a different shade of blue though. Just what saber next to get it on

Yes it would look fantastic... The new TRI AB is made with 2 blues and one grenn, and it looks fairly blue, so a BBR, would probably look fairly blue too, but to the other way, a darker blue, I suppose you wouldn't call it dark blue or dark violet, it would be Indigo, something blue but just in the limit before purple...
