It took me a long time to decide if i should order a saber, when i finally decided to order one another problem arises:
wich hilt and colour should i take?
so the grab bag choice was best for me....
after ordering and waiting for it, the saber was there.
i felt like a little kid not knowing what your present is (a feeling i havent had for a long time).
i got the Dark Standard Issue Battle Saber with blazing red (heavygrade ultraedge).
i was so happy....
i was suprised how solid and heavy the lightsaber is, this saber really needs some strong hands to wield.
i've got medium hands and is is a handfull i love the weight and after some practice i can wield this one handed without being afraid to drop the hilt.
ok to the point now...
i got infected by the lightsaber virus and wil definitely order another one...
this saber is good for one handed but better for real power players with two hands because the lack of choke points.
the battery usage is long (longer then i expected) had it burning for more then four hours and still didn't need to change the batteries it does get a little dimmer but i can accept that.
don't know yet how long the batteries will last but will let you all know.

Congratulations, it sounds like a wonderful hilt.  If you don't mind me asking, when did you order? I have an order for 2 grab bags placed on January 23 and I'd love to know at which point of the queue they are. |

I ordered my grab bag saber on the 29th in SRD...when did you place your order? It may shed some light on where I'm sitting in line.
Much can depend on your battery and or other options too. For example, we are aware US is out of stock on AAA battery packs for Standard Setup Sabers. My DSIBS has a recharge port, Lithium-ion setup instead. I placed and paid my order on January 21 and it was shipped out on January 29 (along with two other sabers of the same order). |

I personally perfer the SIBS over the DSIBS, but I do have to agree with you. Standard Issue needs some love. |

The battery packs are back in stock as of last Thursday (as Emory anticipated in his last update), also someone that placed an order for a AAA battery setupon January 8 posted Yesterday about receiving a shipping notice , so it seems US is on track with clearing 4/5 days of backlogged orders per working day. |

What options did you order with your DSIBS?
Its Just a standard Dark Apprentice LE v4 with standard batteries and a windowed emitter. I understand their issue with the AAA battery packs, but i see people who have ordered their saber after i did with standard batteries and theirs are being shipped. |
