Blue is my color, it is who I am

Here is my new custom saber. It's a DSI I got from a grab bag a while back, so I decided to change it up some. I've become more and more fond of yellow as a blade color but wasn't sure what hilt it would look good on. Then I remembered about my grab bag DSI and that it was the only saber I owned that I wouldn't mind changing the LED of (it had a SRD module in it). It was also the plainest hilt I own, which made it good for my first fully custom project (other than the hilt obviously).

It has an Amber LED and yellow-ringed, latching AV switch. I also added Li-ion battery setup so the blade would be nice and bright. I used contact paper to add some more silver to the body of the hilt and weathered it some to give it more of a steel look. I also replaced the retention screw with a steel thumb screw, replaced the pommel with the Raven SS one, and customized a blade plug to fit the look of the saber. I am very pleased with the way it turned out, but still have a couple parts I want to add before it is completely finished. Pics below.

Thanks! I'm glad y'all like it. It took a while for me to decide on the parts I wanted to use for it, inside and out.

I'm really happy with the color of the blade. The amber LED is the way to go if you want a nice golden yellow. The pictures still don't do it justice.

Finally got my custom shroud done that I designed for this saber. It has some weathering on it as well. Pics below:

A top 5 favorite custom US piece I've seen. It's a work of art.

Oh nice saber dude. Has a really menacing look to it. Tongue The wider rings would actually be a cool new finish option for the DSI saber. I should see about getting me one.

Thanks everyone! It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it. I may add a couple more small things. Nothing too major though.
