I was anti monarch until I saw the Dark Monarch with Guardian Pommel ... That looks awesome

Hey prowl look at the monarch up top with the yaris... In my opinion that is the best way to have the monarch as a scepter staff. You like? Or no?

I'd have to say no for multiple reasons.  One, the Monarch doesn't look centered when it's screwed into the yaris, if looks a little off on one side.  Two, I'm not that into staffs, double bladed or other otherwise, I'm a shorter person at 5'6 and only about 125 pounds, so I couldn't  wield them effectively.  And again, the Monarch just doesn't appeal to me at all, I like to hold my sabers two-handed and with my gripping points far apart and it looks hard to do that with the Monarch.  It seems like it would do better as an off-hand saber.

Awesome prizes everyone.  My sabers arrived at the FedEx depot this morning but are not due for release until tomorrow  .  I should get them then but unfortunately, I won't be able to put up any photos until the day after. I can't wait till I start loading pics of all the sabers

I'm pretty sure it is centered.  I don't know why it looks that way in the pics.  My main gripe with it is that the pommel end of the Monarch is kind of flared out (with the pommel off) so the extensions aren't flush with it.  It doesn't quite make as ideal of a spear/staff as I had hoped, but it's still a nice saber.  The saber itself looks more suited for one-handed wielding, but you can do two-handed.  I just put my 2nd hand either on the other side of the AV switch or above it and it works fine.  If you compare it to the length of the Archon in my pic the grip points are pretty similar. 

Not trying to change your opinion, since that obviously isn't going to happen  , just addressing some of your points.

Wow Dark Monarch grab bag, don't see that very often.  I'm sure one of the best grab bags to be seen in a long time.

OK so here we go.  1st up is my 2nd place raffle prize.  I got a Dark Standard Issue with Li-Ion setup in AS.  I have some orange Lee Filters in the photos.



For my Raffle entry is my Nickel monarch with non illuminated A/V switch in DVA with AS FoC



I'll have to say about DVA, which I can't really tell in the photos but its pretty obvious in person.  At least with the LED module I received, its not really a good even mix of color, it looks Guardian Blue close to the hilt and VA near the tip.  It kind of looks like a 2-tone blade which I'm not thrilled with.  I took some close ups of the blade next to the hilt and next to the tip.



Again in the photos it looks pretty even, so anyone else who owns DVA chime in here and let me know if this is just normal.  Anyways as always I'm super excited to take home another raffle prize, thank you US.  And the Monarch, I'll say the hilt looks beautiful, but i'll leave the rest for my review.

Just picked up my sabers from my brothers work during lunch.  Only managed to take a pic of the sabers I bought and not of the Archons I got from the Raffle - took up too much of my brothers work bench space  .  The Raven has the RGB led and was set to green but didn't come out very well on the phone camera.

Like Spidie2000, I also had the blue hue at the bottom of the DVA on the Shock LE, however, this could be that the batteries that come with the sabers are not exactly charged.  Once I get home (still a few hours to go) and fully charge all the batteries, including the two Archons, I will post up more pics and also do a quick review in the review section.  Thanks again to Ultrasabers for setting this up and the awesome prizes.

Oops, just realised I don't know how to post pics... hit the insert pic button and saw the [img] show up and figured it would just ask for a link after I hit post. Oh well, will have to look it up when I get home.

You have to upload the photos to a photo hosting site like photobucket and then use the link to the photo in the image brackets.  And just FYI on my DVA saber I keep extra batteries on hand and put fully charged ones in before testing it.  So that is with full batteries, I've emailed Emory about it to see if that is normal as I had some technical issues with the Monarch I need to get resolved as well.

Okay, some quick pics as promised - all photos were taken using the not fully charged batteries they came with and the camera on my phone. Quick thanks to Spidie2000 for the quick notes on how to post pics.

First up are the saber entries - on top is the Raven with RGB and the bottom is the Shock LE in DVA

First photo right after unpacking and were taken quickly at my brothers work (where they were delivered to). The Raven was set to Green for the photo and although it looks very green in person, it appeared more aqua in the photo. It also doesn't show up in the photos but as per Spidie2000, the VA has more blue to the bottom and gradually gets more purple at the top.  I didn't manage to get a picture but the DVA appears more consistent in a darker room. Have to also thank my brothers work for letting me take up their bench for a quick photo.

Below are all four sabers lined up including the two grand prize Archons on the left.

Have to thank Ultrasabers again for the awesome sabers and prizes - the Archons turned out even better than I expected and I'm starting to like them more than the Raven.  Also need to thank Emory and Ultrasabers for being so accomodating with installing AV switches on the prize.

Will do an indepth review soon.
