My first saber was the dark monarch, and I love it! The variation of girth you speak of give it (IMO) I very regal look as well as a superb grip. If you don't like the monarch, don't buy it, and leave some in stock for those of us who do love the monarch for its distinct look and feel.
As Aurick said, I got mine as a grab bag. Believe me, I would happily leave it in stock for you.  |

Honestly, I didn't even think about the grab bag. I guess I thought the grab bag would't include the monarch (in hindsight, it was silly of me to think that) only v2 and other less expensive hilts. My apologies for sounding condescending.
I realize now that I get to enjoy a warm, fresh slice of humble pie. Forks up!

Yeah It's damn hard to go for them - they're quite expensive and (as long as you don't have that much money) only worth buying when you can participate on deals, either DotD or feature deals. I got mine during an Archon DotD and Emerald Driver deal and you save quite a bit with them.

I won my emerald in a raffle... Yay for luck! Its a really cool feature, but for me, its hard to pool out the extra cash for it. I prefer sound to emerald personally. :/

I'm sure I won't get it again so it took a while to decide on which hilt I wanted and I love that the dark shock to me at least can be light side or dark side. With the activation box and the guardian pommel I think it will have an obi wan esque feel to it. My cosplay costume that I'm getting soon to is a darker colored anakin style (ep3) set. Going for a shadow jedi type feel. This hilt is gonna be amazing and if I want to be a sith I can do that. So excited!!!

The Monarch sold, and I received payment just in time to go for a Raven in the sound sale! So happy!  Specs: - Raven (Obviously)

My hopes of having my saber this weekend is dwindling by the minute...  I ordered yesterday morning and I got overnight shipping so my last chance is if it gets shipped today. I'm crossing my fingers. I'm not used to having a turnaround take this long. They are ao good that when an order takes a normal amount of time we feel that something's wrong haha! Thanks for letting me rant guys, this waiting for it after the purchase is the hardest part. Makes ya feel like a kid on Christmas though! |
