Hi
I am about to press the button on a Guardian with guardian blue led. I will be adding foc and would like advise/help on what colour to add. My thought is to have blazing red.
The saber will pretty much be for display, and will not be dueled, (at least not while I am home) so the foc will just be for a little extra wow factor.

the flash covers over the colour you have - so red FOC with blue will give you a light purple flash. i would reccomend silver, as it would give you a light blue flash, which would look better. my mate has a red with silver FOC - it looks pink when it flashes!

No, the main LED turns off during the flash effect and the two colors alternate. For a clash, it is a single cycle. For lockup, the two colors quickly alternate until you hit the button a second time and end the lockup. This alternating occurs several times per second. I have most of my sabers flashing silver as silver, being a lighter color, produces a good contrast and effect for most colors. Even my Sentinel Yellow flash silver saber looks really good. Colors that are close don't produce a good effect. (i.e. Red flash orange, or orange flash yellow) There just isn't enough difference in the colors for a dramatic effect. I don't have a blue flash red saber so I have never seen how they work together? I do have a few silver bladed sabers. Silver flash arctic blue and silver flash red. They both look pretty cool. |

im with schtups,the main colour does turn off when foc is enabled,i like silver foc with all my colours,my dva has banes heart foc and that is so sweet

I have FOC on a RGB blade so I can run the gambit.........the FoC on mine is indeed silver and I am VERY happy with my choice......to me, its has the most realistic effect as one might expect with a clashing light saber. You can vary the speed of the flashing and I have mine set VERY high (fast). So fast that one's eyes have trouble adjusting to the color change....ie its silver but takes on a lil of the color of the blade (although this is just an illusion) To me its a great effect. What is dva and banes heart? I am sure they are two colours no advertised, if they are how can I order them? |

Jonesy, that looks amazing. I'm giving a lot of thought to a VA/BH mix on a 'sabre (my daughter will flip - two of her favourite colours) and that's made me confident they look good together. I'd give you a point, but I already gave you one for your gallery so... I'll try and remember for later  |
