Hi, my gf recently purchased a Prophet saber for me as a suprise with the blade/hilt.  I wanted to wear just the hilt for a Halloween costume.  Is there any way that I can safely remove the blade from the hilt without damaging the saber?

Thanks!

This video should answer your question as well as give you visuals.  Emory has a Prophecy in the film.

You can also cover them with PVC end caps and a thumb screw.  Less likelihood of loosing the cap.

So the small rubber caps fit the blades.
Is this a good idea to keep dust and dirt out?

Where do you get pvc ends with a thumb screw?

You pick up both at your local hardware store.  Just drill a hole in the PVC end cap, tap to the size of your thumb screw, and then insert thumb screw.
