So what can I say about the Prophecy? Well, for starters, it feels like a lightsaber. I have a number of Ultrasabers and custom sabers built with TCSS parts and various other parts, but for the most part, these are either too light to the touch to truly feel real or they have something shaking around inside and it sorta kills the illusion. The Prophecy is a short saber (shorter than I expected), but it feels as solid as a rock. And that's a good thing. I definitely feel like this thing will take a beating and come back for more. That can be said about Ultrasabers in general, but this one especially is a freaking tank.

Another thing I love about this saber is the unscrewable pommel which is actually MHS compatible. That means that if you have a TCSS pommel you want to put on your Prophecy, this is easily doable. I thought briefly about putting my Acerocket Obi pommel on this thing, but it didn't look too good. I think I might pick up that long, sorta conical TCSS pommel at some point , just to add a bit of length to my saber.

I ordered the Prophecy in Violet Amythest, and this was the only mild disappointment for me. It's a bit on the pinkish side. It's fairly accurate to the shade of purple you see in the movies, but I was hoping for something a bit darker. Obviously this is a personal preference and I still think Violet Amythest is a beautiful color that many people will love. It was also a pretty easy fix for me to get the shade that I wanted. I have a few of the filters Ultrasabers gives out with their Adegan Silver sabers, and I popped a blue one in. I got a very rich (and still very bright) purple, exactly the shade I wanted. I also started experimenting with some other color discs just for fun. For the most part, they only gave me slightly different shades of purple or pink, until I popped in an orange filter. What I got was a beautiful (and extremely bright) shade of red! You can see it in the pictures. With the filter in, the blade is only a touch dimmer than a red Lux III or P4. I love the fact that I can easily switch the Prophecy from Jedi to Sith mode just by popping in a filter. Obviously, it's not a feature Ultrsabers had in mind, but it's something I thought Violet Amythest owners should be aware of.

I made some modifications to my Prophecy cosmetically. I got some high-gloss enamel from Home Depot and filled in the grooves in the grip section and the thin section above it. I used gold spray-paint on the upper thin section. This is a temporary measure, however, as the spray-paint feels like it'll rub off eventually. I'm planning on picking up some gold vinyl tape for this section. It'll look better and won't rub off as easily. I threw some O-rings onto this section at the ends, just to give the upper part of the saber a bit of black, and there you have it.

It's been said before, a thousand times, I'm sure, but I'm giving Ultrasabers a resounding 10/10 for the new Prophecy. I've had it for two days now and it's already one of my favorite sabers, definitely worthy of a sound board (though I may have a resident smith do the install for me, since I don't want to mess anything up). If you were on the fence about this saber, go ahead and order it. You have my word that you won't be sorry.

Thanks for the review, Rats.  Very good use of the color discs I must say.  Kudos.

I love the paint job, I'm considering the prophecy and might do the same thing if I get it. How hard is it to do a good job with the paint? I don't really have a lot of experience with model building or anything similar and don't want to mess up an expensive saber with a bad paint job.

Awesome saber!!! The artist force is definitely with you. I just ordered a dark prophechy and your design has inspired me to customize my own in silver paint.  Two questions: one, was it hard to paint the saber and two, does home depot sell small viles of color (just enough to paint the saber because $ is tight)?

i ordered filters with my bane's heart bellicose and it does the same thing with the orange filter.  You should also try the green filter.  The green one turns it a very lavenderish color.  and the golden yellow filter turns it kind of a coral/salmon color.
