I want to get a bellicose with quick disconnect and I just want to know, if I were to swing the saber without the blade in will the mls unit come flying out?

If you keep the blade retention screw in the hilt and adjust it so that it pokes into the blade cavity enough to stop the MLS unit then no it will not fly out.

The MLS unit might do some rattling around some, but this would be something that a blade plug would come in handy to have.

Why exactly would you swing your saber without a blade?

the bellicose actually uses the blade holder, so if you have the blade holder in without the blade in it the MLS unit shouldn't move around much more, if at all

I'm kinda wondering as well, why would you swing your hilt around without a blade? If your looking for detail on effects on the guts when you have it hanging for a blet or something I understand. In that case, ultrasabers have been verry good with not letting the guts fly out  and if they did, they probably weren't attached. The star may be able to venture out of the emitter but if the set screw is in, it keeps just fine.

The MLS unit in held in place by the blade holder.  So there wouldn't be any rattling or flying out of any sort.

I wouldnt do much swinging without a blade, just curious to know how well the mls unit is in there if I had the hilt clipped to a belt. I saw a video on a bellicose quick disconnect and the dude pretty much turned the hilt upside down and gave it just a little shake and the mls unit came out real easily. It's my first saber so I don' have any experience with them

Yeah, with no blade holder in there, it does slide right out (was playing with mine that way earlier today, to be honest). With the blade holder in minus the blade, like DEEP said, there's no rattling at all.

It was my first saber too, and I am very pleased with it.

And I sometimes enjoy swinging around just the hilt to simulate what a real lightsaber with light energy would feel like. I mostly find that I would cut myself in half, or be missing limbs.

Dohh, I forgot it had a blade holder silly me.  I keep my blade holder positioned near the top of the angled emitter top (see pic), so when I remove the blade I remove the holder as well
