Just a curiosity thing..

Do you guys consider selling the Obsidian LITE sound board instead of just the V3? I wonder this because I have 3 stunt sabers from mystery boxes I wouldn't mind upgrading to have sound.. Or is that something you only do as an upgrade to send back to you guys?

Or even a saber I have that is equipped with Obsidian LITE and want to upgrade to Emerald Driver / Obsidian myself? (which I did with my Archon V3.1 - Tri LED though so Emerald isnt an option for it. But I did also get another LED with QD so I could swap colors.)

I ask because:
#1 I do have all of the skills and tools necessary at my disposal to install them and modify the pommels for a saber with sound..
#2 To me it is much more cost effective to do it myself - (This also feeds my tinkering / modifying hobby and to the pride factor of "I did it myself!"
#3 Time.. I modified a stunt Dark Initiate the other day adding the sound board, modifying the wiring into a working saber with sound in under an hour.  (And then later milled out the pommel and cut vents for the sound.)

Just seems like the Obisidian V3 is a bit overkill for my intentions with the stunt sabers I have .. unless of course there just isnt much difference in price I guess it would nullify the need to sell more than one as a part / upgrade.

Or any of the other small parts? for example Quick Disconnect connector/pigtails, charging ports etc? I realize I can get similar functioning materials anywhere, but it would be nice to keep consistent with what US already uses in the sabers...

Congrats upon having the skills to successfully complete all this.  My suggestion since this is the Forum only is to contact US and get their response. [email protected] .  Also they get many of their saber parts from TCSS so if you haven't already... check that site out.  I have heard of members purchasing one of those plastic toy saber alternatives and modifying the soundboard into an US saber. 

Likely there will be more in the know that will respond.

Ahhhhh thanks much! I am a complete beginner at the world of sabers at this point.. I got my first two mystery boxes and then went on a tear... was not aware of TCSS..  Seems I need to learn patience with my sabers...

There are SOOOOOO many ways to answer these questions for you Smfgt11, so I'll to keep it concise and simple unless you're looking for more info.

#1 - US don't sell the LITE board separately AT THIS POINT IN TIME. If you search the forum you will find a post about how when it first came out it sold out almost instantly and they couldn't keep up with supply for their assembled sabers. They are trying to avoid the same thing happening again, and probably know all too well that if they sold it separately that myself and a bunch of my modification buddies on here would but them out of stock immediately probably buying 10 or so each lol

So it's not a no forever, they just haven't given us an update YET.

#2 - They don't sell the Emerald Driver separately either. I've never heard "down the track" talk on this one though but again if they did, you'd be fighting me for them 

#3 - I know someone in the past has purchased Quick Disconnect plug from US simply by sending an e-mail and asking if they could please buy some. This is on my to do list to change all my stunt sabers to QD. Recharge ports MAY be the same situation if you e-mail and ask, but as the lovely D7 already said you can purchase a LOT of the electronic gear as well as parts from The Custom Saber Shop (TCSS) and this is the ONLY other saber company that we are allowed to mention by name on the forum as they use the MHS system for their saber pieces.
