about to order a diamond saber need led advice?

i was asking advice on led choices on the diamond sabers?
which did you order and what the difference or your preference please any all advice greatly appreciated

Simply put, RGBA can make much fuller and richer reds, yellows, and oranges, and the specific shade of Amber the LED has is really hard to get otherwise.

RGBW, however, gives you a bit of a wider color range than the standard and the White LED makes your whites much purer, along with letting you make lighter shades of other colors without much effort.

On a personal level I usually pick RGBW for the versatility, but if you intend to use a lot of Darkside colors like Red and Orange RGBA is preferable.

I'd assume RGBW would do it better since Vader's saber is slightly pinkish, but if it's just pure colors both should manage Red fine. Could we maybe get a second opinion in here?

What do you define as "true red Vader saber"? Also what hilt are you planning to get this setup in?

If you are worried about it producing a BR blade, fear not. The RGBW is a cluster. Single LEDs in Red, Green, Blue, and White. BR is easily achieved by tuning the R to maximum and the other colors to their minimum.

RGBW makes a great Vader colour when mixed
I also am more partial to RGBW for more versatility (Jedi or Sith colours) and love the W LED for switch colour (it would look weird if I mixed a Green or Blue colour while using a Red switch right)

I do not use the white LED much in mix (it tends to wash out colours, I have heard some people call it a pastel effect)
But I am more partial to Blue, Green or Red primary colours (not a fan of Yellow or Orange blades really)

Something like that, maybe a bit more pink. The exact shade varies between sources, but Vader's saber is usually more washed out than a true-red ought to be.

That pic is of a std BR in an UE blade. For some reason, the effect on camera looks great, but to the naked eye all you get is a red-red blade.

From what I've seen, the variants of Vader's blade color is simply an interpretation of the traditional red Sith blade. The image has a very light core (lightish-red ergo pink) with a red corona. But I think if you are willing to pay for the ability to experiment, then RGBW would be the best way for you to proceed.
