Hey there,
I'm currently in the process of making a custom saber which uses both US and TCSS parts. I have already bought the US parts - which I must say are absolutely fantastic, as always! - but I have discovered that TCSS offer two versions of the MHS system, which are incompatible except by virtue of an adapter, which given my low budget is something I wish to avoid buying.
Of the parts I bought from US, only one was an exterior part (everything else is electronics) and it's the War Glaive emitter. My question is this: which version of the MHS system from TCSS is compatible with that emitter? Cheers,
Rob
PS. Sorry if this sounds like I'm trying to advertise. I'm not. I have absolutely no prior experience of TCSS parts so I can't say anything about them either way Smiley

FYI - make sure you lube/grease TCSS parts before using w Ultrasaber hilts...etc.  Yes, everything is MHS compatible but I had a neck piece from that vendor get stuck badly prompting desperate emails to Hazard and Dauntless7 on this forum.  Ultimately I found the burliest guy I knew in Facilities at work and he man-handled the piece off my hilt for me.  The traditional right tighty lefty loosey didn't work too well in my case.

Good Luck!  K

Good advice in generally, incidentally, is to give any new pommel/emitter a quick squirt of WD40, or even ones that have been sitting around a while. It keeps them easier to remove and put back into place Smiley

Ok, another quick query. As it turns out, there is some kind of LED module incompatibility between products from US and from the other guys, in that the way they are mounted in the saber is different. Basically, US LEDs fit underneath the emitter, whereas with the other guys it actually fits inside the emitter itself. In theory, I have to fix this by suspending the LED module directly under the emitter; does anybody have any suggestions as to how I could do this using DIY stuff (plumbing supplies, for example) ?
