Hi. That is a bit of a loaded question as people will treat their sabers differently. Those that look after them or use them somewhat lightly or less often, should have a saber that works well over the years. Generally the more wear from regular sparring, spinning and dropping may put more of a strain or fatigue on for example the internal wiring. However this usually can be fixed. Extremes in temperature also is not ideal. The saber itself is very well made and with normal use should last for a long time. Scuffs and other marks only adds to the look and story of your saber.
Recently I received a first version stunt Shock LE. The saber was in good condition with some scuffs and wear mainly on the end of the pommel and on the blade tip. The person had not removed the AAA batteries and they were cheap, old and corroded on to the plastic battery holder. I was able to chip off the hardened battery acid from the holder with a metal dental pic and put in new batteries. Checked the wiring and all connections were solid. Turned it on for a bright beautiful guardian blue.
