I need an advice where describe to Ultrasabers in comments to install Covertec Wheel. I know what it is, but dont know the best place for it on this lightsaber. Can you help me with the choise, some photos maybe too? Some place that wouldnt interfere the grip. (Uh i hope u understand what im writing XD)
PS. AV Switch Channels. Ok, i saw the video, i read forum, but to this day i cant understand it in 100%. I dont want an illuminating AV Switch, so what channel do i choose? Or if would want an illuminated switch, but it would be ON only when the blade is on too?
Welcome here ^^ Great to have a new saber addict.
As for the Covertec, I agree with the others to put it near the pommel, but from what I noticed with my Manticore is that putting the Covertec in an 90° angle to the switch leads to less interference with your grip. But opposite of the switch is also a good location.
As for the AV switch and Emerald: well, there are the three options Always On, In Line with and Dedicated to a channel.
Always on means "always on", even in stand-by, until your batteries are drained - quite obvious.
In Line means that as long as you use a channel for colour mixing that also contains the AV switch, the switch will be on. Setting the channel to 0 leads to a non-illuminated switch, setting it to less than 255 leads to a dimmed AV switch, setting it to 255 (the maximum) leads to full brightness of the AV switch. It will only be on when you power your main LED, so in stand-by the switch will be off. The colour of the switch will NOT be affected.
Dedicated means that your switch will be connected to a channel that normally leads to the main LED, making this specific channel unavailable for colour mixing. In stand-by, the switch will be off. The colour of the switch will NOT be affected.
For the non-illuminated switch in the Sound options on the saber pages I would choose the Always On setting so that you have all 4 channels available for colour mixing.
