Hi again. I am posting a video report below that includes photos and footage of our group with our Ultra Sabers at 2013 Austin Comic Con. This is a follow up to a review of the Initiate V3 I posted here back in October (I’ll include a link to that thread below). I bought the Initiate V3 for a Jedi costume I planed on wearing to the 2013 Austin Comic Con, and I made the review before attending the con. The Ultra Sabers we bought were a MEGA HIT at the ACC. They were so bright, especially our pictures and videos! These lightsabers drew people to our podcast booth like moths to a flame, attracting Star Wars fans and non-fans alike. Quite a few asked us where we got our lightsabers...and of course we told them and let them examine the Ultra Sabers products we purchased.
In the new video, my Anomaly Podcast co-host and I discuss our experience as cosplayers at the convention. Our group of seven was there all three days and dressed as Jedi, Sith, Smugglers and Bounty Hunters on Saturday; you'll see footage and photos of our group, including a couple of VERY cool 350 images of us in an awesome action poses. The action poses we struck were very popular at con (they were displayed on a monitor outside the vendor’s booth) and featured one of my friends and I locked in a Sith vs. Jedi battle. The sabers cast a glow of red and teal on our faces, which really added to the drama. ☺
Just FYI, the first portion of this convention report is about our TOS (Star Trek The Original Series) cosplay. It contains a mini review of two miniskirt (or skant dress) uniforms. I know not everyone is into Star Trek, but it should still be entertaining …. miniskirts... After that we go on to discuss our Star Wars costumes and how awesome our lightsabers are. Again, our Ultra Saber lightsabers were a MEGA HIT! And though we were there to meet our podcast listeners and introduce ourselves to potential listeners, we also acted as saleswomen for Ultra Sabers by demonstrating the features of each of our purchases and selling the doubters (combat duelist) on why Ultra Sabers is superior to other lightsabers. I think we were charming and knowledgable enough to be convincing. Hopefully we sent a few more buyers Ultra Sabers’ way.
We're going to two Comic Cons here in Texas this year. I'm planing on attending, at least one day, in my Jedi costume again. There's something about this lightsaber that makes me feel more than just a little powerful.
