Do you lose much calories, water, and sugar with the forms I know sparring you can relatively burn more calories when you spar a lot but what about the forms? I've been doing mixture of stretches upper and lower body workouts like squats sit ups push ups then forms. So is the forms good for calorie burn?

I am curious to know the answer to this as well. My evenings sabre practice are part of my exercise regime after all. :-)

In short yes, it burns calories... I worked up a pretty good sweat today going through my form work.

Exercise can contribute to weight loss, changing eating habits is another part of the equation.
Most people are surprised at the ratio of effort & time to calorie loss, it's not as much as people usually think:

D_Nonymous has some excellent insight and information into working out effectively, it's part of what he does professionally.
One thing I am pretty sure he's going to say is to stop the sit ups. They can cause back problems and there are much more effective exercises for "core work" that provide more comprehensive results.

I see. I've heard a lot of different things about sit ups my dad is a PT he says they are good in small amounts for warm ups others have said its been an old work out routine for hundreds of years and some have said stop altogether so I'm not 100% on the topic so it'll be nice to hear from his opinion and thanks all for answers.

Yes, thank you Master Vornach.  I combine my sabre practice in the evenings with brisk walks in the mornings, and alternating cardio and weights at the gym at lunchtimes.  Changing diet has been a big part of it as well.  I hope to be less of a blimp when I finally get around to posting a video for critiquing and advice!

I personally don't do weights because I let my body adjust then add weights but this I'm sure is opinionated
