Hey guys, was just wondering, could I make my blade brighter by adding more batteries? because apparently the colour guardian blue takes 4 AAA batteries, but blazing red only takes 2 AAA, so if i were to add an extra battery, would it make it brighter? or would it just fry the circuit? Thanks

DON'T do that. It'll just fry your LED.

you could do some MAJOR studying and see about replacing the LED with a 10w (and mabye the batteries to l-ion in addition) but you would need to know how to wire/sodder it all.. control the current, etc.  i'm still studying up on it all for a custom saber build using a Ultrasaber guts as a starting point.

I'm pretty sure if you change the resistor that you'll be able to something like that, but if you have sound then it's a different ball game because the soundboard also acts as an LED driver.  I too am looking into the 10w LED's that are out there, have a pair in Guardian Blue showing up soon, but I bought LED drivers for those, I dont use sound.

Brighter blades are achieved by brighter LED's, and i'm sorry that it is that way.  Even running the LED to it's maximum performance is not going to give you the blinding light you seek.  So do try the higher watt LED's, and use Ultrasabers as you can! I do!

I like the LED modules that Ultrasabers have made so much that these new 10w LED's are going to be installed in them!  I like to keep the circuit simple, for combat, and these LED modules are indestructible, and I love that!

I also base my designs for independent sabersmithing off of a lot of my favorite Ultrasabers designs.  I dont plan on selling them, or steal their thunder, I just admire their approach to an age old question (what is the coolest lightsaber design?), and mimicry is the highest form of flattery...

Think outside the box, and anything is achievable.  Ultrasabers makes that easier!
