I was wondering if I could purchase the Flash-On-Clash option and update a saber without it?

If you have quick disconnects, then you'd need to send in your saber to have it rewired for FoC.

If you don't have QD's then you can rewire an LED module into your saber yourself (I believe)

In order to add FoC to a saber that doesn't have it, you would need to wire your soundboard to accommodate that feature and then add quick disconnects. Then you could order a LED unit with FoC and quick disconnects to swap them around. You could wire it for FoC with a new LED without QD's, but at that point...why not add them?

I have the same "problem," per say. I won a second-place prize in the second Spring Raffle, and while I absolutely LOVE my Dark Initiate v3 in Blazing Red with v4 sound, it would be nice to do flash on clash. But I'm not very good with DIY projects at all. Anyone know how much it would cost to just send the saber back and request FoC?

The best way to find out is to email US directly at [email protected].  I don't know if they have a standard price or if it varies by hilt, and this way you are guaranteed to get the correct information.
