I'm looking to do something a little different, do you think a double bladed Mantis would work or would it be to unwieldy

It's a big hilt, and you'll really need to get an adjustable coupler to make sure that the blades line up how you want, or else...

Are you thinking of having the blades pointed the same way, like a bow, or opposite directions, S-style?

I have not decided what way I wanted the blades yet, I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it, and thanks for the picture it does look cool

To the best of my knowledge, no-one has two Mantises yet. I think I may be the only one with two curved 'sabres of any sort, and I don't have an adjustable coupler so I've not been able to experiment much. With the mis-aligned blades on mine, I didn't feel comfortable doing much with it.

Given the size of the hilts, I suspect it'd be unwieldy with 36 inch blades... but hey, please go ahead and give it a try. I know that folks will want to know how it handles! Smiley

I think its a cool idea, but I agree 36" blades would be really unwieldy.  Maybe 24" would be better or possibly 32".  If you end up doing it I'll be interested to see how it works out.

double mantis is one i really want to try myself.  i have a V2 Dominix Staff with 36 blades, and it is tall, i have to breakit just to carry it through my house without breaking stuff, but personally i like the length with the long blades.  feels more Darth Maul sized to me that way.  so i would definatley try the 36 blades on the mantis, but thats just me
