Hi! I'm a new customer, and I think I want to buy the Dark LE V2 with a heavy ultra edge 24 inch blade. Can anyone tell me how much this weighs? I need to make sure it's not to heavy, because I might want to downgrade the weight depending on what you guys tell me. Thanks.

Its got a good feel to it. Its not too heavy at all, if I had to guess, I'd say 2ish pounds. Maybe a little heavier. In my opinion, the initiates are my favorite to swing around. And mine have the heavy grade initiate blades.

The official weight of an initiate v2 le with an ultra edge heavy grade blade. I can't get more on the dot than that.

All right, thanks! I was imagining something like 10 pounds or something like that. Now I'm pretty sure that's the one for me.

Hi.  Just curious.  Why do you want such a short blade as you will lose almost three inches into the emitter?  I have four v2's and I really like the slimmer hilt.  The Initiate v2 is quite short and really is designed for children if you were considering this instead of a regular Dominix.  Because all these v2's are not MHS, sound or Emerald compatible, they are the lightest of all the sabers.

Well, I really want the le v2 because it's cheap and I think it looks cool. What blade length do you think I should get?

Hi.  The 32" blade length would be a good first v2 saber choice which would have a 29" exposed blade.  You can practice spinning and also use for some sparring.  You will have to request this length in the comments space on your order form as a 36" usually comes with this saber.

When I go to order the saber, the default length setting is 24". Can't I just change that to 32"?

If you are seeing the 24" blade then what is being ordered is the INITIATE version.  Do you want a hilt that short?  If yes, then you would have to pay an additional charge for the longer ($10) and heavy grade blade ($10).  If not, then purchase the regular v2 Dominix LE.  The 36" blade comes with it and you will have an additional charge for a heavy grade blade ($10).  In the order comments you can request that the blade be cut down to 32" at no extra charge.  Personally, I would go for the regular length saber and a MG blade in 32" or 36".

Ok, thanks for your advice. You convinced me to ramp it up to a 32" blade, but I think a shorter hilt is more my style.

The Initiate v2 is approx. 8 3/4" long and the regular length including pommel is just under 12".  Sometimes it is difficult to judge from the photos.  Suggest taking a ruler and seeing how short/long the two choices are.  If you are using two handed, I suggest the longer version.
