I'm trying to switch out my Arctic Blue LED with a 6W LED.

I heard buckpacks don't need resistors. Is this true? And is it possible to switch out a battery pack with a buck pack?

I'm assuming you mean buckpuck.  It does not replace the battery pack, it replaces the need for resistors as I believe it regulates the voltage going to the LED.  You still need to have a battery pack, otherwise you have no power source.  I'm far from being an expert as far as resistors go so I will let somebody else expound on this further.

The buck puck replaces the resisters it's a power regulator ed driver although you would still need to resist red and amber dies.
But if its the 6w that I'm thinking of from one of the other guys then it should be fine to run off the puck.
3w,5w, 6w or 10w its best to run the leds at 1000ma with reds and ambers at 700ma usually a 1w1 ohm resistor does the trick
