Here is an interesting video showing real world folks with some interesting abilities...

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r331mHLncyE" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r331mHLncyE</a>

Now take that as well as the other high end potentials of the world...strongest, fastest, smartest, tallest, etc.

I would like to make a list of the potential of human extremes, and then boost these a bit.  I will then take this list and make a random generator that will select a set number, say 3, of these abilities to create super powered platforms...for a game for example.

So here is your chance to add to the list...yayyyyyyyyy!

Lol

Seriously though, I am creative and resourceful but I tend to think along certain lines and may miss an approach that may come ya'll so, help a brother out!

And these are not meant to be all offensive and rarrr  kind of powers, more of this is what you have, what can you do with them sort of thing.

Take the video example...the guy who could eat all kinds of crazy stuff without issue...expound and extrapolate this a bit, or in other words Hollywood it up some.

Matter Eating: indestructible teeth...cranial ridge and heightened muscles around the mouth...rapid healing saliva (this would fix the issues of eating sharp, hot, caustic, or toxic materials)...multiple staged stomach with furnace digestive system...so in the end this person could bite nearly anything, chew it, shallow it, digest it.

Is it a top tier power, no not really but could make for an interesting special ability...as he could bite through flesh and bone like you or I would eat a sandwich, I would not relish (as as see what I did there!) grappling with him

Say the tallest man...8' 11.1" 450lbs...but allow for athletics that exceed the crippling results that nearly all such giants deal with...so this giant could run, jump, walk, swim, etc. as appropriate to someone of a mundane height...

Or the guy who could take a cannonball to the gut!...allow for this to be his whole body...able to withstand nearly any kinetic impact...bullet proof within reason...

The smallest person...1' 9.5" 30lbs...but allow for athletics that exceed the crippling results that nearly all such dwarfs deal with...so this person could run, jump, walk, swim, etc. as appropriate to someone of a mundane height...being so light and small, if the strength were allowed for, this person could do some crazy acrobatics...

The heaviest person...1,400 lb...but allow for athletics that exceed the crippling results that nearly all such giants deal with...so this giant could run, jump, walk, swim, etc. as appropriate to someone of a mundane height...

But for the most part I am looking for those unusual extreme conditions...immune to cold, never sleeps ever, sweats acid, expels hydrogen sulphide gas, lol...be creative, but be constructive...it is easy to be snarky, try and apply the creative process!

I've learned how to program my subconscious mind to wake up in the morning at the time I set my internal clock. You may call me... AlarmMan! Fear my power puny mortals! Mwahahahaha. "Mine is an evil laugh."

Nope do not know it...but let us take that and go one or two steps beyond.

Perfect timing...an internal clock that is cesium or strontium atomic clock standard accurate...with a fault of less than 2 x 10-15, which means it would neither gain nor lose a second in 20 million years.

Take this a step further and allow for this level of precision to apply to other aspects of timing, such as hand and eye, reaction, etc.  This person could neuter a house fly, in flight, with chopsticks.

Smiley

I would imagine a great deal of raw mathematical ability and a measure of lack of sociability would go along with it.

PS
Now..."Mine is an evil laugh"

Absolutely.

Primate grip strength, arm to body reach, and muscle to weight ratio.

Pop that just a bit...75-80psig (than the 10-11 ave and her 31) grip strength, 8"-10" reach advantage, and make it 12' instead of 6' per second climb speed.

Very cool indeed.

Electricity Shunt...able to divert lethal ranges of electricity through the body and to ground without suffering electrocution or ill effects...it fact these charges invigorates the body, replacing the need for sleeping, eating, drinking

Human Calculator...able to calculate any mathematical equation nearly instantly as if using an advanced calculator, can use this to instantly apply to physical geometry such as playing pool, archery, playing basketball, parkour

Echolocation...supremely attuned hearing, modified sinus cavity, and a unique vocal chord allows for a new sense of echolocation, creating a mental picture of surroundings without any input from visual aspects

Muscle Neuron Augmentation...with more connections between the brain, nervous system, and muscles this person can apply more energy to the muscles, making this person 3 to 4 times stronger than relative to their mundane muscle values

Lightning Reaction Speed...able to react with a single short movement in micro fractions of a second, can move before most people can blink

Heat Sink...this person can absorb and release excess heat to the point where the blood would seemingly boil, without injury or issue...sweat has a fire resistive quality

Super Punch...able to focus and deliver a single driven punch at a value that exceeds reasonable explanation, in the range of 2250psig...the bones of the hand are laced with extra fibers, the nerves of the hand are protected

Extreme Endurance...this person can ignore the normal limits of fatigue and can operate on very limited fuel, able to run a marathon without preparing and then do it again and again

There is a show called Stan Lee's Superhumans, in one episode they had a guy who is able to just keep running because his body doesn't produce as much of the stuff that is bad for you, when you're over exposed to adrenaline; the name of which eludes me at the moment.

Anyway, that would be a really neat power/ ability.

This is a really interesting topic, so I will readdress.

I have been putting a fair amount of time into a book for publication, dealing with mutations (the science fantasy aspects, with measurable successes) and the topic of minor mutations existing among us today and in history pops up.  As per the notes above.

So what I have been doing is recording the heights of human potential and ramping them up, just slightly to create the foundation of Mutation Attributes.  These differ for the Mutation Powers section, as the Attributes are close to possible, though few if any are combined...start combining and you get gaming character magic.

So back to this topic!

Smiley

Any more thoughts as to the coolness of human potential, with just a touch of added oomph?

A couple nuggets to stir the imagination...

I look to the animal kingdom, specifically the mammals, for attribute consideration.

Hyenas with their incredible bone crushing jaw strength...include a cranial ridge as is found with greater apes, add a bit of muscle, increased teeth/jaw/skull bone strength...a mighty strong bite.

Finger and toe nails going the opposite evolutionary path. Rather than receding they harden, increase in size, etc...Sabertooth/Wildchild (X-Men comics) style rippers and shredders.

Very tough skin as is found with some native peoples in jungle regions, resisting needles.  Taken a step further to include resisting edged weapons.  Impact still provides some trauma to tissue but simple or mundane contact would not pierce the skin...imagine running through thick cactus fields or through acacia bushes without injury.

That sort of thing.
