This is my first Ultrasaber. I haven't had it long, and I don't think I'll ever "dual" with this blade, so keep that in mind.

Everyone that saw Star Wars as a kid, that I know, has wanted a lightsaber. I'm sure many of you here feel the same way. They are the COOLEST sci-fi weapons, bar none. "An elegant weapon, for a more civilized age"... indeed. Of all the things I'm going to say about this saber, one thing is of paramount importance: when I picked up my ultrasaber for the first time and turned it on I felt this rush, like I had realized my childhood dream. I was holding a lightsaber. Granted, it wasn't slicing through Deathstar superstructure like butter, but the glow, and weight felt eerily perfect.

The saber I purchased is a basic Bellicose, no sound, no flash on clash. I purchased it primarily as something to wear on my belt for my Jedi costume. I'm wearing this costume at Disney's Not so Scary Halloween party, so I avoided anything that was going to make it too heavy, as I was walking around with it for hours on end, and going on rides with it. It has the jewel button, which just felt like a needed classic accent. The blade itself is consular green, which is more vibrant and brilliant than I could have expected, and my cat gets a kick out of it too.

The hilt itself is exactly what I was hoping it would be, sleek, with great black accents. It feels substantial, without feeling unnecessarily heavy. The Ultrablade is great, the poly-carbonate feels durable. I also opted for the blade plug, which it will have in it most of the time, when I'm wearing it on my belt etc. With the blade plug, it looks great and doubles as a green flashlight as a bonus (I'm sure this has been said before, but these LEDs are bright, don't look into the LED).

I've fallen in love with my Bellicose, and it hasn't been a day yet! I couldn't recommend it more.

Really solid hilt, the Bellicose.  Comfortable enough to wield but very nice looking as well.  Good choice, and great review.

Nice buy. I should buy me a stunt version for dueling purposes really. Love the Bellicose. Nice solid saber.

Absolutely love my Bellicose, it's looks nice and has a great feel to it, plus it seems to go well with any blade color!

I agree, it's just one of those hilts which could go in any direction perfectly.  There are a few like that, but the Bellicose strikes me as especially versatile - the simplicity of the hilt is Jedi in nature, but put the right button on it and that angled emitter has enough aggression to serve as a great Sith hilt.  I've seen it in just about every color at this point, and I can't recall a single color I didn't like on it.

Oh yes, you are correct.  I'm even considering eventually getting another one with a few different things like a brass button (mine has a chrome one) and the silver blade holder (mine has the black one) the only trouble is which blade color and type to get, seems like every color can fit with this saber.  Heck, even the various saber fonts seem to work on this saber, I've completely changed the fonts on mine to sound like Luke's from ROTJ.

Love my Bellicose stunt saber (in CG as well) and it looks great in my saber display.  The small accent touches like the red button and the ice cream scope emitter just make it one of more desirable sabers in US catalog.  I like the Bellicose so much I even bought one for a friend for a birthday present (in GB w/sound) and he loves it.  You got yourself a great saber, nice choice.  Now you will probably become addicted and buy more.   Grin
