Okay, so Las Vegas Comic Con was a lot of fun (Las Vegas itself is always a lot of fun).
As a group my wife, our friend and I won the costume contest - but not in our Star Wars costumes... in fact, after winning the contest on Saturday, we partied all night on the strip and didn't get to bed till 10am... and we didn't make it to the 3rd day of the con. It was a bit of a bummer because all the heaviest gear, like our tall boots were for our day 3 costumes and we never even wore them. Oh well, there're always more cons!
On Friday we were cute! Gloomy Bear and Umbreon (pictured here with with someone dressed as the Red Son/Daughter):
...and we met Jessica Nigri!
On Saturday the wife and our friend busted out the DC villains while I rocked my old standby, Symbiote Spider-man (with no mask, no way I wanted to wear that all day in Las Vegas heat). Girl on the left runs "hotnerdgirl.com"

...and an awesome Darth Nihil. I asked him about his saber - it's completely custom; he bought a Luxeon LED and put it together himself. He was also pretty happy someone finally knew what character he was.
Also absolutely no problems at the airport with my saber; I had the hilt in carry-on and popped it in the bin with my laptop at security. I had to cut down one of my spare blades to fit it in my suitcase though... and then never even used it.
