what Is the size of the blade retention screw in this hilt? I was looking to get a thumb screw from TCSS

It is 8-32.  I have purchased thumb screws from other vendors in the past only to find that they break quite quickly.  I suggest heading over to your local Home Depot, Lowe's, or other hardware store and purchase a steel thumb screw.  Much cheaper and lasts much longer.
