Title: Bellicose in Consular Green [Pic Heavy]
Post by: eerockk on October 25, 2012, 02:36:37 AM
Hi all! It finally came. I cannot believe how amazing this saber is. Nobody here has yet described the true quality and brightness of these things. It's absolutely understated on the main site, and here in the boards. One really has to hold one of these things for real, and they'll know this is more than just a toy. The craftsmanship that goes into this saber is second to none. People who are proud of things that are made in the USA should take note of Ultrasabers. It's like dealing with a company 50 years ago. The service and quality are something that will last a long time. As this will be my main saber, I can see that this is something that might lie on my body when I'm one with the Force again... at least until some Jawa fishes it out of my ashes.

Behold, my friends, the UltraSabers Bellicose in Consular Green with Adegan Silver flash on clash. (I'll show the latter in my video review). I also ordered an Archon (Dark Arbiter) pommel as well as I've always loved this design on lightsabers.

I opted for the gold button. It really accents the metallic nature of the hilt.

The emitter shroud is also what drew me to this saber

Love the Archon pommel

The entire hilt

Just what I hoped for...

Looking down the beast. The ultraedge heavy does darken it slightly next to the mid grade - it's still really bright

The blade is a bit dimmer than the pic shows

Hilt to tip

Yeah, I love it. :)

Thanks again to the Saber Forum for all the tips and tricks; it made choosing what I did a lot easier, and to UltraSabers for more than delivering on what was promised. You said they were good, but you never said they were this good!

LoL, I got basically the same setup, except for pommel and color(bellicose short grooves/SRD). It's one hell of a saber right there ;D

I still want two of those with bronze buttons in Guardian Blue. Make it a staff and duel wield.
The design is basically a copy of the two sabers from Star Wars the Force Unleashed II.

It does look amazing. Tempting me with that archon pommel. It looks good on anything! One Pommel I didnt order yet.

That hilt looks amazing in the green. Glad you like it.

Stunning!  8)

Beautiful choice. I chose between the Overlord and the Bellicose (both great sabers with the RGB option), and for me, the Overlord won by a narrow margin.

Great to see it in green. Thanks for posting.  ;D

Nice another Bellicose fan. I got mine in Guardian Blue with an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade, silver blade holder, short groove pommel, gold button also, Obsidian with non illuminated av switch, and li-ions with resistor set up. Really is a sick saber. Also my main for sounded battles and such. But I haven't met any duelers here in Ohio yet. :P I should post some edited pics. I got something similar to photoshop but I forgot about the program. I'll upload one of those pictures where it looks like the saber is floating if I'm lucky. Just gotta figure out a way to get the saber kinda floating so it looks right.

Zren: Where in Ohio are you?

Very nice saber.  :) I especially like the pommel and the green switch.

Thanks everyone! I'm just blown away by the craftsmanship with these. Consular Green too... this is a childhood dream of mine realized perfectly! My saber was always green, and now it is for real.

The best part about the Obisidian? If I ignite the blade and my wife or kid isn't paying attention, they start as though a bomb went off! This is is kriffin LOUD!

Oh, FTR, the Archon pommel is louder and more resonant than the Bellicose Short Groove pommel is. It's nice to have options. :D

Excellent pictures man, and a very nice saber too!  Everybody knows my love of green sabers, and I think this thread justifies that love ;)

The Bellicose is a dream to wield, isn't it?  Enough saber there to get a grip on, but it's exceedingly well balanced too.  All around superb hilt IMO.

Thanks, Nero! It's funny, but it's what I always imagined a lightsaber would feel like if it were real. These things are as real as they get, and green is my fave too, so it's no stretch when I say I'm beyond impressed by it.

One anecdote: my friend loathes Star Wars (I forgive him, of course), and when I brought the Bellicose over to show him, he wouldn't put it down. It was the Obsidian that sold him, I believe. Consequently, I learned how to shoot photos with a smartphone! (I don't own one, but he does and he wanted photos of him holding it). These sabers give instant, massive, gratifying geek-cred to those who wield it. I know Jedi care not for these things, but it still feels good!

Thanks man, but I'm sure you'll like what's in your attic right now even better!

My Bellicose is 44 3/4" long and weighs 1.8lbs with the UEHG blade and batteries installed.
