So as you will likely guess from the title, my MLS unit came in today. It was, of course, Sentinel Yellow. I wasn't quite sure what to expect to be honest. Some people like Kham absolutely love it, some people are disappointed by an inaccurate yellow color. So, I put it in my Arbiter right away even though my batteries weren't charged (the other ones were in the charger). I wasn't expecting much since the batteries had been in for a while, but WOW! It was a perfect shade of yellow throughout the blade! Then I thought, "Uh-oh! If it's this perfect with old batteries, what will happen with fresh batteries?"

So I put in the batteries which had just finished charging, turned it on and, "Crap! It's orange!" So, I was majorly disappointed. I asked myself, "Why would old batteries give it the right color, but new ones wouldn't?" It didn't make sense to me. So I decided to switch out one battery at a time. It turns out that I have a bad battery! One battery consistently turns the color orange/red. So, I put two batteries that give me the lovely yellow into the charger where they are now, and set the other two aside. When they're charged up, I'll post pics but suffice it to say that after a bad battery scare, I love the SY! It is a perfectly steady yellow color throughout.

Just another case of "don't let batteries freak you out! Keep your wits!"

Glad you're having good results. My SY Liberator is going to be my primary at Phoenix Comic Con this coming weekend... I'll make sure to post lots of pics.

I am a huge fan of SY, though I don't have one yet.
This may sound odd, but I am glad you had the bad experience you did, but more-so I am glad you had the thought to do some troubleshooting before just saying "oh it doesnt work, I want a new one" or "oh it is orange, not yellow!"

I'm glad too to be honest! Yet another reason why I will always recommend people switch batteries before freaking out. And Kham, thanks so much for spreading the SY love :P Jammo, that'll definitely turn heads!

Hmmmm... I've been thinking about it for awhile now... and since I have some extra money to spare this week... yeah I'm going to be getting a SY MLS and a SRD MLS this week. Two colors I've really really been wanting to see in person for a long long time now. Thanks for helping me set my mind to it. :)

Looks awesome! I just wish my SY phantom was consistent. it would look amazing but one fades slowly to a greenish. Hopefully US gets back to me soon. I know they are out for this week so I won't worry. SY is just such a sweet color and I want to take a pic in costume.

Oh, and a battery tip - all my batteries are marked with a sharpie (1A, 1B, 2A, 2B) so I can keep track of which batteries are charged and going into which saber.  Also, if one starts to crap out it'll be much easier to identify.   :)

Oh hey, if you have any Lee Filters, you can additionally tweak your SY between the extremes of green and red with stops along the way at various yellow greens and oranges.
