Title: Shock LE Review
Post by: Ninja_penguin on May 23, 2012, 12:52:47 PM
My first saber I have ordered in a long time just arrived...aaaaand two days early.

The Shock LE, Consular Green. My review is as follows.

...AWESOME!...

Thanks for reading...

...okay maybe a little more detail.

The hilt shows skill of design and craftmanship. A centerpiece for my growing collection of sabers. I'm almost afraid to duel with it out of fear i might blemish the hilt if only slightly. It really is a marvel on its own, the pommel and emitter are interchangeable and unlike my original standard issue battle saber from many years ago the battery pack comes out without need of a lot effort or anger.

The sound is very distinctive. A surprise I got was the clash sound when depressing the button slightly, I hadn't ordered flash on clash but was not aware that the saber came with the sound effects anyway.

The brightness speaks for itself, an Ultra edge heavy blade does not in my opinion take away the brightness to a point that unless you were really looking for it and I mean really looking for it like a where's wally (waldo) book it cannot be noticed.

The strength of the blade has been lightly tested and I will be going for a full test at Supernova where I am sure it will live up to its name.

I offer my sincere thanks to Ultrasabers for this marvelous blade I have now dubbed Excalisaber...

Pictures will follow soon

You are not the only person that has fallen in love with that particular saber.  I thought about doing a DIY Shock Saber for my present to myself for completing Black Belt.  Glad to see that you are happy with it.  This might be a future project for me to give to a special lady one day.  On subject though, looking forward to seeing the pictures.  Don't worry about blemishes, they give sabers their character.  I have read where people distress their sabers to give them that battle warn look.  I say, get yours honestly.  Whack it around in lightsaber duels and maybe crack some people in the knees.  Ok, avoid that last part.

Have a great day and happy sabering.

I have loved this saber since it was first released and I only recently came into the money to purchase it (which I have yet to do  :-\), but I am glad you like it!
I wouldn't worry about blemishes on the hilt.  I was equally worried, but then it was pointed out to me that the emitter and pommel are interchangeable, so if you mess one up pretty badly, you can get a new one and have one for show and one for dueling.
I am excited to see pictures!

And finally, your color choice (green for the blade) is exactly what I will do when I get mine.

I'm having trouble getting another saber, let alone loaded, The Shock LE was my first saber EVER, and I can't bring myself to use my stunts without feeling like I'm cheating on it.. Got mine in DVA,  it's a gorgeous saber, and feels great.  Gratz on your buy.

I originally wanted a Dark Sock. But they are out of stock. I am thinking of getting the Sock LE. Color? Possibly Pyrestone Orange or Arctic Blue. I havent decided yet.

Definitely want to see pics.

PICS OR IT DID NOT HAPPEN!
