Title: Customization Ability Questions
Post by: InverseKnight on May 19, 2012, 10:05:03 PM
It's the ever-awkward Inverse Knight here, curious about customizing my next sabers. My Initiate V3 is my baby. My "Padawan" Saber. The blood on it proves how much I care. Same for my Dominix V2. However, they don't feel quite, mine. My next three sabers are, in relative order a Standard Issue Battle Saber (Consular Green), a Dark Prophecy (Violet Amethyst), and finally, my Archon V2 (Sentinel Yellow). I will describe what I'd like to do and see if it's even possible and how the Hell I'd do it if it is.

I've perused the CSS and found a few things. I noticed in a Video on Ultra's feed that a guy made a custom Luke RotJ saber. It had the same ignition switch and not just the circular one we all have. This  (http://www.ultrasabers.com/Activation-box-style-7-P607.aspx)[ur=http://www.ultrasabers.com/Activation-box-style-8-P637.aspx]thing.[/url]. Is it possible to hook this up to my Archon V3? I understand that this (http://www.ultrasabers.com/Black-Card-P350.aspx) would be needed, as well. I'd like this (http://www.ultrasabers.com/Activation-box-style-4-P415.aspx) on my standard issue as well. Afterwards, I'd like to find some brown cloth and give it a good wrap (which should be fairly) simple. I want it to resemble the starting lightsaber from TOR. As for my Prophecy? I'm not sure yet. Any ideas would be welcome.

Can't post links to competitors' sites, sorry man.

The custom saber to which you refer was made by Ultra himself.  I am pretty sure you can use an activation box with some work on your Archon since Ultra was able to do it as well.  One problem with activation boxes is that they tend to be bulky while dueling.  If you want it for show, then no problem.  Hope this helps answer some questions.  As long as you can dream it, I am pretty sure you can do the customization.

Sorry about that, I didn't know I couldn't do that. I won't do it again. All apologies.

As for the saber tip, thank you very much. Can you give me some advice on making this (http://jamesvillanueva.deviantart.com/gallery/24852054#/d4mpzgl) into an actual saber? What would I start with and what parts would need added for the base design? I was going to a Standard Issue Battle Saber, add the altered activation box, do the wrapping myself, and get the knock-off version. But, do you have any opinions?
