Title: no more pvc in the grab bags?
Post by: KenshinTrigger on March 30, 2012, 06:49:46 PM
I was going to get a grab bag saber for my GF in a little bit, since she doesn't want something too expensive to start out with, and I've found that the grab bag is a great way to get an introductory saber for someone. That being said though, i noticed when looking on there that the option for pvc versus metal hilts seems to have disappeared. since PVC hilts are no longer being made and metal hilts still are, logic seems to dictate that it means the PVC hilts could be out and the metal v2's are all thats left, negating the need for the option.

So really my question is, does this sound correct? I had wanted to get my GF a metal hilt one, but since there's not the option to choose from on the grab bag sabers I wanted to be sure if my assumptions were correct before proceeding. I also heard that the rate of v2 liberators has shot up as well on it, so is there any truth to this as well? cause if I could up and present her with a liberator over an initiate, that would be amazing. granted I know that'd be a gamble, but thats kinda what makes the chance fun. I just like to know what kind of chances I have generally from people's opinions first.

The consensus is that there are no more PVC sabers.  It may or may not have been confirmed by Deep (I don't recall exactly), but considering the fact that everyone has been getting Liberators, I'd say they've emptied their stock of PVC hilts.

Im no expert but all the grabs that have been bought and posted recently have all been metal hilts and they have been V2 Liberators.
