Had an icident today with my Trustfire charger that I thought I should share.

I have typically plugged my chargers in and forgot about them.  Today, I picked up my charger to put batteries and when I did the power cord felt very "floppy".  The cord bent a little and then something shorted inside and the cord basically exploded about and inch or so away from the charger.  The charger itself didn't seem to be affected by it at all, but I decided it would probably be best if I started using the spare instead.

Anyways, might be a good idea to unplug your charger when you aren't using it.

On a side note,  Lithium batteries and chargers are not meant to be left plugged and charging for long periods of time.  You are only suppose to leave them in long enough to charge and then take them out.  I know people do it and have not had problems, but I had a buddy I flew RC Helis with that had one of his Lithium battery packs start to bubble and melt.  I use several LED flashlights for work that use Li_Ion batteries and all the chargers I have say not to leave them in for long periods once the battery reaches full charge.  Just thought I would throw it out there to be on the safe side.

  We actually had a hidden camera battery pack explode that was left on the engineers test bench over a weekend.  Your always better being safe rather than sorry.
