Title: Dark Arbiter Questions...
Post by: Chainmale75 on February 14, 2012, 06:00:15 PM
I have 2 questions regarding the Dark Arbiter,

1: How many batteries will it take with all options ?

2: How far in does the blade sit ?

I ask about the blade only because of the extra piece, does it go all the way through the upper part reaching the main body ?  or stop in the emitter ?

Thanx for any and all replies !

I couldn't answer your questions specifically, as I don't know much about the Dark Arbiter, but considering that most US setups are the same I'll do my best to give you some info.

1.  Their sabers typically use a setup with 4 AAA batteries unless you order the Li-ion setup.  In that case, they have been doing builds with 2 Trustfire Li-ion cells (3.7V each).  I recommend going with the latter, you will be much happier (and save money in the long run!).

2.  Their blade sockets typically contain 1.5" to 2" of the blade, just enough for a good strong hold during dueling.

Hope that helps!

i've been told about the socket depth. I just wasn't sure with the extra neck piece if the blade sat deeper than norm. thanx on the batteries. now I know how many extra to get.

I emailed Emory about this and his reply was "With a 36" blade the whole saber is ~48" long". Considering the hilt is listed as being 14" long, the math says that the blade only sits 2" inside the hilt. I hope this helps.
