Title: Hasbro FX Maul Dismantle
Post by: xemnas2010 on January 01, 2012, 05:47:07 PM
Hey I want to get a new blade for my hasbro Darth Maul fx, but I cant find a tutorial on how to take it apart. I've seen some with removable blades, but I dont think that counts for mine as it says 'blade permanently attached to hilt' on the box. I'm sure someone has found a way around this. Can someone point me in the right direction?

actually the maul model is the easiest one to get apart ( I just took one all the way apart 2 weeks ago) here is a link to the tutorial
http://www.saberproject.de/mr/tutorials/maultpm/mauldemontage_e.html (http://www.saberproject.de/mr/tutorials/maultpm/mauldemontage_e.html)
mine also had the non removable blade, the only difference I could see was 2 more pins that need to get pushed all the way through the hilt near where the blade goes in & you have to pry the round black plastic tube out of the battery compartment before the whole assembly slides out from the bottom.
Hope this helps

Yes sending it in to the techs at Ultra would be the best. I'm looking at the empty hilt from my Maul saber wondering what to do with it, I was going to ebay it off & realized that out of all of the force FX sabers that i've seen it seems like one of the heaviest & thickest material wise.  Dimensionally it runs close to my Prophecy, Might be just plain old sick with an Obsidian EXT with red main color led.
