My older US blades are from years back. Strange thing is, those tips never flew over the cuckoo's nest hahaha while with other blades it happened fast, back than. Still secured with a bit of glue, I think, but not as much as the old tips.
But they're not transparent. The tip has a semi-reflective film (just like the one inside the blade) which reflects most of the light back into the blade.
