Hi, have just received my beautiful Initiate v4 & will be modifying in the future, sound will be the first step, looking on the website I will need a soundboard & the battery pack with speaker, will I need anything else?

Specifically, you will need the Li-Ion battery pack with speaker for Obsidian, and batteries to go with that.  (Obsidian V3 and V4 require a Li-Ion setup)  You will also need a wired buck puck and a momentary switch, as the latching switch that came in your saber isn't the correct one to turn on the sound board.  And, of course, a vented pommel.  Though, if you have a drill and the desire to do so, you can add vents to the pommel yourself.  That should about cover it, I think, aside from common sense stuff like wire, heat shrink or electrical tape, soldering tools, etc.

Does that mean I have to have two switches?, one for light & one for sound, or do I replace the original latching switch?

You replace the latching switch with the momentary switch

Yeah, what Corwyn said.  Everything gets wired through the sound board, so when you activate it, the blade comes on too.

So my shopping list is:
1x v3 soundboard
1x momentary switch (blue)
1x dual li-ion battery pack with speaker
1x buck puck
2 x li-ion cells & charger,
sorry for all the questions but I want it right as I'm on a budget, how do I find out what mAmp my LED is?

It would depend on knowing what color and what brand of LED you have.  I don't know if Ultra Sabers uses both Cree and Luxeon Rebel Star LEDs.  I know the TRI LEDs are Cree, but I don't know about single colors.  Anyway, if you knew what brand and what color, you could just find it on the manufacturer's website.

However, I believe the buck puck is designed to work with all of the LEDs Ultra Sabers uses.  I know it's not cheap, but it's worth the money to protect that LED module.

It may be cheaper to just buy another saber with what you want. You can't go wrong with another saber.

Dido that. Unless your really doing this for enjoyment your better off buying another saber. JMHO

thanks for advise, Obsidian v3 fitted & working  ;D new sound fonts installed & pommel all working fine, now for flash on clash, how does this work with an RGB LED as sold from Ultrasebers?, I thought these has a 2 die LED?, I cant find a wiring diagram for the connections for a Blue Blade & Silver flash using an RGB, can anyone help with this?, thanks.

I can't help you with the wiring , but it couldn't hurt to also post this question in the tech section.  I'm sure one of the others can help answer it. Good luck.
