I did a full random hilt and I have to say for my first Saber purchase I am very happy. It does have a minor scuff on the emitter but for being a floor model I am happy I can easily polish it out. Color turned out to be Sunriders Destiny which looks awesome even in heavy grade blades.... Tho It might look better in a midgrade or ultraedge.

I will say the market is getting competitive when other providers are offering packages with sound , RGB , and Customization out of the box at nearly half the costs of US. I will do the grab bag again for stunt but honestly I may shop elsewhere unless US becomes competitive in the sound and RGB. Other companies are offering 2 full sound and 20 color RGB  sabers with 8 emitters ,6 hilt covers,  8 pommels, the blade coupler to make a staff , Rechargeable batteries, and lifetime warranties on the blades for the same cost as one US with less options.  Also the addition of Day blades would be nice too.

Even a Walmart cheapo can pull off sound and motion detection not everyone needs a obsidian soundboard options and a preset rgb board with 20 colors would not cost as much as the Emerald Driver Boards.

Congratulations on your first saber.

Before anything else, please post your acknowledgement of the rules of saberforum. It is a requirement before you start posting.

As for the other companies, we don't like to comment on them very much, and no one here will ever call them by name. Ultrasabers builds a fine, well crafted stunt saber, and its durability has been proven by some of the harshest of combatants.

Other companies prices are all go up, as well as ultrasabers do, based on preferences. The ones you purchase in store, or the Force FX ones, are as durable. The one thing I know Ultrasabers doez have is tremendous customer service, and an awesome saberforum community, to handle all your questions, problems, or inquiries. Ultrasabers offers the best bang for your buck, in my opinion.

Again, congrats on your saber, acknowledge the rules please, and browse around, socialize.😊

I kept it without promoting another company. I am just wondering why there are not more options for people on a budget that dont want to do the work DIY. I have no complaints for the Stunt sabers its just lack of options when it comes to the electronics. Some of us would be happy for more options than just Single color that is cheap and Emerald that is pocket busting.

Thank you for acknowledging the rules. Point.

There are lower prices. Take the Obsidian Lite board that US offers. Depending on which is chosen, you can expect to pay anywhere from $160-$250. Adding Flash on Clash adds $35. Right now, they are offering 15% off all sabers with sound. So you could spend around $200, and get a very good saber! And not only that, but you'll get it within 1-2 weeks. Other companies, yeah, like 4-6 months. They claim that they build a higher quality saber. Time, money, customer service, US has them beat.
They always have a sale, and give away 90+ sabers during raffle events! Always an exciting time.
I bought mine, with no coupon, sale , for $285. Archon V3.1 violet amethyst with flash on Clash with Obsidian Lite. My son's got same add ons, got them both for under $400.

Trust me, I'm a legendary tight arse!

On another note, what side of the force do you favor? We do a "force alignment" thing here, points awarded if you favor the light side, or tbe dark side. Or, like me, choose not to have any points awarded. It's just a little side game

Very nice saber.  Pulling a DSI out of a grab bag couldn't possibly be a bad thing.  ;D  Your son certainly looks happy with it.

As for the other guys.  We know there are cheaper companies out there, but most of them won't stand up to dueling.  What you get with Ultra Sabers and a few other companies (most of which are more expensive) are fully combat ready lightsabers.  Even Ultra Sabers' least expensive hilt, the Initiate V2, with a midgrade blade, can handle light dueling.  Add a heavy grade blade for $10 more and you can go all out with it.  I work at Walmart and I can tell you you're not doing that with any of the toys we sell.  And that's exactly what they are, toys.  They will break if you hit something with them.  Of course, not everybody needs that kind of durability, and that's understandable.  But, that's what you get with Ultra Sabers.

Nice. Looks more Arctic Blue to me though :P Unless you just had a good setting to pick up the blue side more

Cool review Kidmo32. :)

I like the lines on the DSI. Great pics. ;D

I was thinking the same as Zren though - looks a bit more like Arctic Blue.   ::)

I will add that a TRI-CREE Aegean Silver with colour disks is a less expensive option for colour changing, and I have to agree with M5 about US's quality and customer service - not to mention speed of delivery.  A durable, battle-ready saber that quick is pretty awesome.

+1
