It is, but sometime last year the "12:01am" showing on release day moved to 10:00 PM on the night before release and is now as early as 7:00 PM on the evening before release.

I've got 8:00 PM tickets for the 17th.

Hory Shet! I may able to catch the show and be able to function at work the next day.

We have 7pm through 2am showings listed here on the 17th, so I'm pumped!  I couldn't get the 18th off of work because we already had 2 people scheduled to be out and there is also a legally mandated training that day, so I was just going to drag into work that day and hope for the best.  But now?  I don't have to, since I will get home at a reasonable hour.

I had already considered the need to sleep in the parking lot and then dragging my still costumed ass into the office. It would be a rough day, but sooooooo worth it.

I had considered going to that theater, but I'll be away during the release.

Too bad. I was hoping to meet some new people since I just moved to San Tan Valley, AZ. Maybe sometime in the future Drahcir.

I wear my Anakin tunic and standard Jedi belt to work all the time, so I was considering a similar thing.  I often forget to wipe the scar off my eye, so that might have made for something hilarious.

I would love to go in costume, but my wife is saying no. She said I'm not bringing my US because it's too expensive.

That's why you go with a good friend who approves of your nonsense and let your wife stay home.  ;)

Lucky for me, the husband is into all this, so we're going in costume together, sabers included.

If I have a job, I'll go the first day off work I have after the release. If I don't by then, I got bigger problems than when to go see Star Wars....

I just moved here from Germany and don't know anyone yet. I'm hoping to meet some people by then.

I was actually going to go to the premier by myself because the midnight showing was too late for my husband.  I do a lot of things by myself, but that's usually because I dislike people lol.

After plans to see the film with former co-workers fell through when they moved to Oregon(e), I just purchased a ticket for 7:25p PST on Thurs in Sherman Oaks, CA. Although we're all bummed, the show is early enough to make new friends with all the other folks who will undoubtedly arrive early in costume like I will to celebrate the event!!! :o #PhotoOp

...Gave myself enough time to get in from work and deal with traffic to get to the theater. ::)

So excited I still can't Sith down! lol  ;D

OK . . . I first thought it was the 18th as well, midnight 17th, but here in Oz its the 17th, midnight the 16th Dec, oh so confusing sometimes  :-[

An we got tix for midnight 16th (technically 17th, oh jeez  ::))

Aanndd, not to rub it in or tease or anything, we here in Melbourne Oz are 16 to 18 hours ahead of you guys in the USA, sooo, we'll be seeing it around 4am - 6am 16th Dec your time . . .  :P

I'm early too - 11am GMT on the 17th, so later than XIX, but still, we'll just have to have our own little party while you're all queuing up to go see it :p

Did anyone catch the leaked Japanese international trailer release ?  Wow it filled in some of the missing verbal parts and added more content.  This should be a fantastic movie and one that people will see a few times.  I decided not to go on the first few days as I don't like crammed theatres.  Am curious about the 3D and trust that it will be improved from the last limited run of a re-released SW movie a few years ago.   Go check out that trailer as it is English with foreign subtitles.   ;D
