Title: The Versatility of the Menace Emitter.
Post by: srams on July 13, 2015, 04:37:53 PM
I recently bought the Menace emitter, (regular version, no windows) and I'm in love. I love the way it comes apart, you can so much with the parts. I've been playing with it in different configurations and here are some of my favorites so far. Here I have it used with my Archon V 2.1, plus a few parts from the "other guys". It is in Arctic Blue.

I somehow like the last combination, reminds me of an 'Exar Kun' variant.

Is the Menace-'crown' held by the 'regular' emitter or do you need an additional screw to fix it?

Wow!

That's pretty cool.

The last couple with the "spikes" look really unique.  I like that.

Thanks! The (what I call the "cage") part is just held in place by being sandwiched together by the ring like emitter part and what ever part you use under it. If you don't scew the parts down, the cage part can freely spin. Its my only dislike of the part, but I can easily drill/tap a retention screw. I agree, I love the spikey, Exar Kun like look. However it doesn't stay as it is on the "other guy's" part, so in that case a retention screw would be needed. Although my favotire way to use it is actually in the third photo, with the cage reversed.

Love the variant on the third picture down, just reversing the shroud like that completely changes the look.

Nice! I may need a menace Emitter soon. Those variants are brilliant!

You know - I noticed they sold that Emitter separately and thought that was a little odd.  Very specific type.

But now that I see how it comes apart, I kinda want one!

I'm pretty excited to play with the emitter when my Menace arrives!  Great examples of it's versatility srams.  I haven't seen these configurations before with it...+1 for originality.
