Title: raffle questions
Post by: Ren Kobar on January 29, 2015, 10:10:21 PM
So i finally got a few dollars saved up and want to buy my next saber. I see there is a raffle right now, but have a few questions. I think i understand the basics. 250 to enter, put raffle code in coupon box, it serves as raffle ticket.  Can i enter raffle more than once? Once the raffle is over, if i win, do i get an email? Or how does that work itself out? If i win, what is the turn around time?

You can enter more than once, but it has to be with separate orders.  You can't place one $500 order and get two raffle entries.  Once the raffle is over Emory sends an e-mail to all the winners.  In my experience prize packages get shipped out pretty soon after the winning e-mails are sent.

Here are the official rules,

Rules
1. To enter this raffle you need to make a purchase of $250 or more between January 28th, 2015 and February 8th, 2015.
2. When you make the purchase be sure to enter the coupon code "WinterRaffle" and this will serve as your raffle ticket.  Please do not forget to enter this coupon code.
3. This raffle is for Saberforum members ONLY.  Please put your saberforum.com forum name in the comments field of your order.  This is mandatory for raffle consideration.
4. That's it.  You are in and eligible to win one of the 40 prizes (whoa whoa whoa... 40?  Yes, FORTY!!! this is not a typo people this is real, giving away FORTY free sabers).  Only one ticket per order.  No limit on the number of tickets per customer.

Hi RK.  Someone won twice in one raffle last year.  So a ticket(s) is a ticket and if you are that super lucky winner then greed has nothing to do with it.  The gods were smiling and pointing at you. :D

Raffles are fun, and it's cool to see what other people buy - and what prizes they get!

I definitely recommend taking the plunge if you're ready to buy, and by all means make multiple entries! There've actually been a couple of folks who've won twice in one raffle, although so far no-one's managed to bag both top prizes. Maybe you could be the first? ;)

so yesterday was last day for the raffle.  this is my first time doing one, and got two entries, one for my Flamberge preorder, one for a manticore with sound for my wife.  when do US do the raffle drawing, and do they contact all 40 winners, or just the emerald/grand prize winners?  i noticed that 1-4 prize are all random hilts, so they really dont need buyer input.  if they do contact, when would it happen?  or am i just waiting on a message thats not coming at this point?
