Title: Jedi/Mando Mask Post by: legion91 on June 10, 2014, 05:07:59 AM I decided that I wanted to improve on the Jedi costume I made last year. One item I have wanted to make for my character was
a mandalorian inspired mask. I haven't quite determined my characters back story but it was something I wanted to include. So I purchased a Demagol style helmet from Forgeprops. (http://images.cdn.bigcartel.com/bigcartel/product_images/35441392/max_h-1000+max_w-1000/Dema_1.jpg) Photo from Forgeprops I decided on this style because it comes in two halves. Using just the front for the mask saves me time from having to cut it myself. ;D I created a rough sketch of several design ideas using Inkscape. I'm partial to design 3 though I may change the color scheme though its nice to have other opinions :) I'll post updates on my progress as I continue this build. I agree with you on the third design, but I also like the first design for its simplicity.

It does look cool. A few thoughts might be to have a kill count on one side, similar to the way fighter pilots mark their kills. Having the Jedi symbol around the cheek/side looks good, but I guess it depends how symmetrical you want it. (translation: foolish jedi, do not mess with mandalorians!)
