Title: Will the Star Wars universe become just another one in Marvel's set? Post by: Xaeyon on February 18, 2014, 03:56:43 PM ^Title^
There were hintings about this a little while ago in another thread but not much was actually said on it. Namely, Marvel has their multiverse (or is that DC?) and with the acquisition of Star Wars, will Marvel want to assimilate it as another alternate reality or respect the independent timeline? How would you feel about Star Wars characters crossing over and mingling with Marvel's other heros? My opinion? I really kriffing hope that it won't be taken seriously enough to make a movie crossover, but I guess it would make interesting comics under the "Infinites" label, and I'd be fine with that because, lets face it, they probably will have a face off between Darth Vader and the Wolverine or D. I mean, Transformers are already crossing-over with Gi-Joe's and TMNT apparently crosses-over with Marvel, particularly The X-Men [Mutants. Get it? Yeah, clever...] Heck, we even had Superman Vs. The Terminator and Batman vs. Predator. But of course, all of those are strictly in the realm of comic-books. This is actually one of two reasons why I don't read comic-books in general as they all seem to feature alternate universes which they abuse to no avail. Fan-made stuff is fine by me. And Iron Mando at least kinda-sorta makes sense. The thing that would piss me off is Disney trying to make a serious movie/series out of it. That shell ain't cool.
