Lol, it's interesting that while most people agree that the blues and greens look better with UE blades, I've noticed that both UE and MG blades have a big following for FO, PO, and BR. My prize was a Dominix V2 LE also in GB. A color matched set! Thanks a lot Ultrasabers! I'm a huge fan of the Dominix V2s and V3s. My first Ultrasaber was a Phantom V2 saber staff. The Scorpion is GB with blue AV switch and Obsidian Sound with a Midgrade blade. The Dominix V2 came with a UEMG blade.

So I bought an Arctic Blue LED module and replaced one of them, and also initiated a trade on the forums to trade that GB LED module I removed for an AS module, still waiting on that new module though. I spent the last week installing Quick disconnects in almost all of my sabers so that I can have a little more fun with colors. And again, the Monarch just doesn't appeal to me at all, I like to hold my sabers two-handed and with my gripping points far apart and it looks hard to do that with the Monarch. My main gripe with it is that the pommel end of the Monarch is kind of flared out (with the pommel off) so the extensions aren't flush with it. It doesn't quite make as ideal of a spear/staff as I had hoped, but it's still a nice saber. The saber itself looks more suited for one-handed wielding, but you can do two-handed. I just put my 2nd hand either on the other side of the AV switch or above it and it works fine. If you compare it to the length of the Archon in my pic the grip points are pretty similar. Not trying to change your opinion, since that obviously isn't going to happen :P, just addressing some of your points. At least with the LED module I received, its not really a good even mix of color, it looks Guardian Blue close to the hilt and VA near the tip. It kind of looks like a 2-tone blade which I'm not thrilled with. I took some close ups of the blade next to the hilt and next to the tip. Only managed to take a pic of the sabers I bought and not of the Archons I got from the Raffle - took up too much of my brothers work bench space :D. The Raven has the RGB led and was set to green but didn't come out very well on the phone camera.
Like Spidie2000, I also had the blue hue at the bottom of the DVA on the Shock LE, however, this could be that the batteries that come with the sabers are not exactly charged. Once I get home (still a few hours to go) and fully charge all the batteries, including the two Archons, I will post up more pics and also do a quick review in the review section. Thanks again to Ultrasabers for setting this up and the awesome prizes. Oops, just realised I don't know how to post pics... hit the insert pic button and saw the [img] show up and figured it would just ask for a link after I hit post. Oh well, will have to look it up when I get home. And just FYI on my DVA saber I keep extra batteries on hand and put fully charged ones in before testing it. So that is with full batteries, I've emailed Emory about it to see if that is normal as I had some technical issues with the Monarch I need to get resolved as well.

First up are the saber entries - on top is the Raven with RGB and the bottom is the Shock LE in DVA (http://i1331.photobucket.com/albums/w589/kfd001/IMAG0072_zpse5d4cec5.jpg) First photo right after unpacking and were taken quickly at my brothers work (where they were delivered to). The Raven was set to Green for the photo and although it looks very green in person, it appeared more aqua in the photo. It also doesn't show up in the photos but as per Spidie2000, the VA has more blue to the bottom and gradually gets more purple at the top. The Raven was set to Green for the photo and although it looks very green in person, it appeared more aqua in the photo. It also doesn't show up in the photos but as per Spidie2000, the VA has more blue to the bottom and gradually gets more purple at the top. I also bought a separate LED in artic blue which is now installed into the Shock. The Scorpion is almost 15" emitter to pommel and about 19" from pommel to claw tip. Trust me, the thing is a beast. Not the easiest things to track down. From memory I have 3/5 each of Defensor, Superion, Bruticus and Menasor. That's the four I wanted as a kid, and one day I'll have the lot... I do have a G1 Metroplex, but it's lacking most/all of the accessories. They're the real money makers for sellers. I don't mind paying £10-20 for a figure, but £5-10 for a combiner fist or foot is another matter ???
I did buy the Universe Superion, but it's really a display piece only. Try and move it and the limbs start falling off - never a problem with the G1 pieces, for all their lack of posability. Anyway, back on topic. Those lightsabres, huh? I would probably lean towards the Scorpion for a Sith saber. The Manticore seems like it could straddle the line between Sith and Jedi but the Scorp looks all Sith. Of course the initiates are for the kids. The bottom one is the first place prize an archon with sound in srd color. The kids and I dueled all night! I bought a archon pommel for my consular. I ordered two extra batteries with my order but Ultra Sabers sent me four along with another charger. Thanks Ultra Sabers, you guys rock!!
