Title: Manticore Review
Post by: Gopher on May 05, 2013, 01:04:32 PM
Hey everyone! Here is my review of my new Manticore I got a few weeks ago... I've been slacking a bit on getting it up here. Hope you enjoy!

Nice.  I think that's the first low profile pommel I've seen, other than the purchase menu pix.  I lllllllike it!   ;D   Cheers!

Nice review.
How is the balance with the low profile?

It's pretty good. Seems to be right behind the flange and the emitter. Although because if the shape I feel it's a little tough to spin hit that could be because I'm a noob when it comes to sabers still.

Nice saber. So if done right this could be either a Jedi or Sith saber just like with the Bellicose. I more like the high pommel though. I might get me one in the future sometime.

Edit to my post about the balance... I was completely off on the balance point. It's actually right in front of the flange. Not behind it.

So with the low profile pommel it is a little heavier on the blade end.

Very nice.  I got the Manticore in VA with the high profile pommel.  It seems the balance point is right about the same no matter the pommel, because mine is balanced at about the same spot & I too have the UEMG blade (balance point is back half of the flange on the emitter which is kind of a hard spot to balance on your finger).

I have to admit the low profile pommel looks pretty good, I will have to pick 1 up to have around.  That stream lined look is not too bad.

Nice video too!
