Title: Female to female MHS adapter???
Post by: MyIDWasTaken on April 10, 2013, 06:20:29 AM
Do they make it?

I would swear I've seen it somewhere before in the forums on someone's page, and I'm really looking for one to complete my design.

If it exists, how can I come about acquiring it (and please tell me it's silver in color)??

Thanks!

To my knowledge ultrasabers has never made one, I know that the other guys (the custom saber shop) do have a female to female adapter.

I wish US made one. If they did I would buy it and add more crystal chambers.

I don't buy TCSS just because the Ultra Sasbers Aluminum is better.

So are TCSS parts compatible with US parts? Because I want to add a freaking crystal chamber to my saber but I can't due to a lack of a female to female MHS adapter

MHS is the same for all companies. Thank goodness!

Although I've snagged quite a few adapters and rings from them, I'd have gotten it here if available.  Besides gold/red/blue/black-anodized trim rings (please!  ;D ), the most useful accessories I think US could offer would be the female/female and male/female adapters; for windowed/vented coupler mating with emitters and minor lengthenings, respectively.   :)

Ultra Sabers might come out with one later, hard to say. If they design a saber with one then it would be available . All MHS parts from companys can fit together . My current project is a Dark Obi-Wan ep.3 MHS saber. It will be about 85% Ultra Sabers parts but they don't have the MHS gear or switch box I need. So I had to get those else where.

as far as i know, they do not have a female/female, and yes they would benefit from such an item in their shops.. at the same time, if you want a crystal chamber effect, just make up some designs of your own creation.. then remove the electronics, and drill press them out.. then file them down to perfection with a long rod file out the right size to fit inside the groves...

i personally am working on an emitter that is made from one of the pummels from US them selves.. its in design, so i got to stay hush hush.. lol, but im sure the community will love my saber when its finished in the coming months

remember, get creative, also, for the most part, you would need to find a metal shop that had a drill press.. with a bit that has female grooves... and you would need to know the groove size, ... as well as the need to first bore out the hole.. THEN run the threader into it.. i am currently looking for a metal/milling machine shop[ myself.. its times like this i wish i had the room to buy and mount my own small workshop just for alterations to US sabers for the community..  lol

i to needed a female to female and male to male adaptor and had to shop elsewere,i did not want to, but when you need it you need it,the alloy from the other shop is fine,a little thinner and not polished to a high lustre, and needed oil on the threads but its fine, and it completed my project ;)
